Containment

For the safety of all parties involved the dog(s) must be securely placed in the back yard or crated prior to our arrival. Fences and gates must be secure; ideally the dog will not be able to see visitors inside the home while they’re outside.

Equipment

- Leather, Gripper or Fibertek material
- Fitted correctly (not too loose or tight)
- No plastic (Buckles etc)
- If unsure on what your current gear is, please send through photos so we can arrange alternate, safe equipment before our session if required.

Cancellation

Cancellation or rescheduling a session must be done with 48 hours notice minimum; failure to do so will result in loss of session. (Some extenuating circumstances may be pardoned.)

Termination

If at any point during the consultation or packages the environment becomes unsafe* or unhygienic the Trainer may choose to terminate the session based on the conditions, regardless of prior payment.

Expiration

Your service / package has the same allocated months for expiry.
EG a 4 pack of consults would be valid for four months from purchase.
This is so we are doing a minimum of one session a month to ensure the dog’s behaviours can be consistently modified to ensure we are doing what’s best for the dog.
For extenuating circumstances please speak to us personally.

Reactivity

Reactivity is taken seriously and avoiding incidents is our main priority. If muzzle training is suggested, it is something we expect you to comply with to ensure a safe and less stressful environment for all parties involved.

Methodologies

We don’t have one ‘cookie-cutter’ method, because all dogs are different and learn differently. All dog’s and all behaviours will be planned according to their circumstances; however, we do practice a ‘Positive First’ mentality, but use all methods where required. We will correct unsafe behaviours to prevent injury eg. Jumping / mouthing etc.

Veterinary health and Welfare

It is imperative that any health concerns stipulated are checked by a Vet immediately and reported back, as many health problems can result in behaviour problems.
If there are animal health concerns, our session will be rescheduled until a Vet has checked the animal. Failure to seek veterinary advice where required may result in welfare notification and void training session(s) and or package(s).

Personal Protective Equipment

Training dogs can be dangerous, so please ensure you’re wearing closed-toed shoes at all times. Pants are recommended but in summer may become uncomfortable; not meeting the PPE standards is up to your discretion, any injuries that may occur as a result of non-compliance will not be held liable on the Trainer or company.

Conduct

We treat others with kindness and respect, and expect the same in return, failure to do so may result in termination of contract without refund.

Results

Failure to practice homework or follow instructions will ensure you do not see results. If you are already seeing another dog trainer this must be disclosed before our session as the advice may be conflicting and therefor results may vary.
We can only make progress as quickly as the dog dictates, the results will vary depending on the time, consistency and dedication put in by Owners. The more you practice the training and homework the more you will get out of it.

Social Media and Advertising

Photos and/or videos taken in our session of you and your dog may be used on our social media or website for advertising or various purposes.
If you want to opt-out of this, please notify us when proceeding.

Ongoing support

You will be able to get online support for 4 weeks after your last session at no additional fee. If you have previously purchased a package and would like further support, this will be provided at a discounted rate.

Payments

As a busy business we require pre-payment for all bookings to ensure we don’t get
last minute cancellations where the Trainer is left out of pocket.

Payment for your session(s) means you agree with all terms and conditions listed.

The safety standards are up to the discretion of the Trainer. 

Some programs are not appropriate for all dogs. We reserve the right to remove or refuse a dog from any of the programs based on the above points.
